Whitewater Drive Entry Expansion
Scope of Work:
Clearing and grubbing of 1,362.34 sq ft.
Strip and stockpile topsoil.
Excavation for entry expansion.
Grade and compact subgrade.
Construction of a 4 ft entryway rock wall (75.03 ft).
Haul and dispose of all organic material.
Backyard Expansion
Scope of Work:
Clearing and grubbing of 4,411.66 sq ft (40.85 tons of scrub oak & roots).
Demolition of existing privacy wall and removal of all organic materials.
Excavation of subbase and rock retaining wall foundations.
Construction of two-tier 4 ft rock retaining walls (284.09 ft):
Upper Tier Fill: 1,411.91 sq ft (rocky, unsized).
Lower Tier Fill: 1,410.81 sq ft (rocky, unsized).
Maintain an ATV path.
Compact fill in lifts to maximize site balance and minimize export.
Grade and prepare for topsoil installation.
ADU Area Work
Scope of Work:
Excavate trench from frost-free hydrant to house and install 3/4 inch water line.
Construct 4-5 ft sloped rock wall on the east side of ADU (64.26 ft).
Construct 4 ft rock retaining wall on the north side of ADU parking area to retain slope (21.21 ft).
Prepare the area around ADU to ensure proper slope away from the building.
Prepare for topsoil installation.
Septic System Installation
Scope of Work:
Excavate and trench septic tank area.
Place 65 tons of 3/4" washed rock.
Excavate and trench 24" x 40" trench (55.61 linear ft).
Install 2 rolls of geofabric.
Purchase and install 1,000-gallon concrete septic tank and accessories.
Manage material import/export with 8 trips using a 20-ton dump truck.
Provide materials, schedule inspection, and secure certification for septic systems.
Upper Parking Area Expansion
Scope of Work:
Excavate and rough grade upper parking area.
Construct 2 ft rock retaining wall (52.73 ft).
Install 7" rock steps from driveway to ADU.
Landscaping Between Drive and ADU
Scope of Work:
Excavate rock retaining wall foundations and prepare the area for landscaping.
Install lower 4 ft retaining wall (96.55 ft).
Install 7" stone steps up to the entryway. Exact elevation TBD
Develop a plan for a water feature/desert river.
Final grading for landscaping.
Privacy Berm Construction
Scope of Work:
Excavate and build a privacy berm, 6-8 ft wide and 5 ft tall (881.26 sq ft).
Utilize 160-175 tons of on-site material.
Shape and compact berm to specifications.
Material Trucking & Miscellaneous Labor
Scope of Work:
Truck off & dispose of ADU Spoil materials:
Trucking - $150 per hour
GX Labor - $150 Per Hour General Contracting Labor
Spoil Removal - $20/ton if dirt is clean.
Relocate shipping containers.
Move brick columns.
Perform site and street cleanup.
Excavate and install 2" conduit under the driveway (31.53 ft).
Equipment Mobilization & Demobilization
Scope of Work:
Mobilization and demobilization of the following equipment:
Cat 306 Excavator (1 month)
Cat 289D Skid Steer (1 month)
Cat 301.7 Excavator (1 month)
Cat 320 Excavator (1 week)
Delivery and pickup of Cat 320 Excavator.
Key Site Conditions and Procedures
Safe operation on sloped terrain with proper benching.
Cost effective material separation (organic, reusable rock, structural fill).
Machine compaction in 6” lifts.
Drainage path management throughout construction.
Minimize off-site hauling by balancing materials on-site.
Client to provide water for refilling the water truck for dust mitigation.
Ensure weekly street cleanups
Material Balance Note
We estimate there are approximately 320 to 400 tons of material on-site, which is equivalent to roughly 200 to 267 cubic yards. We will make use of this material to balance the site and minimize trucking. However, based on the desired finish grade of the parking area to the north of the ADU and the basketball area, additional material trucking and disposal may be required. If the client agrees to the estimate, we will take a GNSS measure of the existing stockpile to confirm whether additional trucking hours are necessary.
